Take a look at all the things happening in Athletics this week.
BOYS’ BASKETBALL- Frosh Boys' Basketball is participating in the San Marino Boys’ Basketball Tournament this week with their first game taking place on Wednesday. JV Boys' Basketball will play against St. Francis at home on Friday, December 13. Varsity Boys’ Basketball hosted the 22nd Annual Rose City Classic last week with a very successful 16-team turnout. The Minutemen finished the tournament 2-2 as they defeated Compton Centennial on Monday night and closed out the tournament with a big win over La Salle! The team takes on St. Francis at 7:00 pm this Friday.
GIRLS’ BASKETBALL - JV Girls' Basketball looks to face off against Arcadia on Thursday at home at 4:00 pm. Varsity Girls' Basketball participated in the Trinity Classical Academy Tournament last week and made it to the championship game after defeating Trinity on Thursday night and Simi Valley on Friday. The team lost a close game in the championship to Viewpoint High School, and the Lady Minutemen finished as the 2nd place Runner-up Team. Senior #23 Charlotte Yee was named All-Tournament. The team will host Arcadia High School on Wednesday at 5:30 pm.
BOYS’ SOCCER - JV Boys' Soccer continues their campaign with a home game on Tuesday vs. Pasadena at 3:30 pm, then travels on Thursday to Westlake for a 5:30 pm game. Varsity Boys’ Soccer heads to Pasadena High School on Tuesday night at 5:30 pm, and travels to Westlake for a 7:00 pm game on Thursday night. The team will then host La Canada at 3:00 pm on Friday at home as part of the team’s Monrovia December Classic Soccer Tournament.
GIRLS’ SOCCER - JV Girls’ Soccer travels to Glendale on Monday for a 3:45 pm kick-off game, and hosts Pasadena on Tuesday for a 3:30 pm game. The Varsity Girls are facing off against Glendale at 5:30 pm on Monday, hosting Pasadena at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, and finishing their week with a home game vs. Ramona Convent on Thursday.
