Thank you for considering a gift to Maranatha!
There are a variety of ways to give and no single “best way” to contribute. Contributions are very personal decisions and can be structured to meet your individual circumstances.
Outright Gifts
List of 5 items.
Cash, Check and Credit Card
Gifts may be given by cash, checks, or credit card. Checks are payable to "Maranatha High School" and credit card payments can be made through our secure online donation page.
Direct Debit
Donors can make arrangements to have a specified amount debited from their accounts monthly, quarterly, or annually. Please contact the Advancement Office to set up a direct debit recurring gift.
Corporate
Many corporations have matching gift programs for schools. These gifts apply to your overall gift total. To find out if your employer has a matching gift program, contact the Human Resources department.
Appreciated Securities
Gifts of appreciated securities entitle donors to a charitable deduction for its full current market value. These gifts offer a two-fold tax savings by also circumventing the tax due on the capital gain at the time of the gift. Stock certificates may be physically given to our Advancement office or stock may be transferred electronically through DTC for shares that are currently held at a bank or brokerage house.
Instructions for transferring stock are located on this page for both physical delivery and electronic DTC transfers.
Car Donations
Maranatha High School has partnered with Riteway Car Donations to help make donating your car a whole lot easier.
Riteway Car Donations is a family-owned, Los Angeles-based fundraiser. They have over 25 years of experience handling car donations and are relied upon by hundreds of 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations, both local and statewide, to handle their fundraising programs through auto donations.

The Maranatha Annual Fund provides valuable resources that enhance nearly every aspect of the educational experience for our students. Gifts given to the Fund cover costs for scholarships and tuition assistance, athletics, visual and performing arts, educational technology, capital projects, extra-curricular activities, ministry programs, faculty recruitment, and facility enhancements.
Each year, every Maranatha family is encouraged to participate in the school's annual giving campaign. Increased parent participation in the Annual Fund has a significant impact on the school. As parent participation in the Annual Fund increases, opportunities for additional funding from foundations and other financial institutions also increase. A high percentage of parent participation in the Annual Fund also shows important solidarity among members of our school community.
The Advancement Office has three appeals during the school year which are sent to parents, grandparents, alumni, and parents of alumni. These appeals occur during the beginning of the school year, the end of the calendar year, and in the spring (but of course, gifts are appreciated at any time of the year!). Also, families will receive occasional mail regarding updates on the status of Advancement efforts or to provide information on new initiatives.
Many donors are surprised to learn that their employers will match charitable gifts that they make to Maranatha. In doing so, donors receive credit for their gift and also receive associated credit for the matching gift that their company gives to Maranatha. Matching gifts are a wonderful charitable benefit offered by many employers and a nice way for our families to give additional support to Maranatha.
The school’s strategic plan drives the school’s master planning process. Both initiatives dictate future capital efforts needed for our students. There are currently no capital campaign projects at the school.
In addition to parent participation in the Annual Fund, Maranatha seeks financial support from alumni, parents of alumni, grandparents, corporations, friends, and local foundations. Maranatha also partners with other organizations who, on occasion, rent our facilities, such as the Tournament of Roses.
