Athletics News and Game Schedule: August 19-24

Girls' Varsity Volleyball is coming off a great weekend after finishing third place in their bracket at United Christian Academy's Girls' Varsity Volleyball Tournament. The team now heads into the coming week 4-3 with away matches on Tuesday, August 20, at San Marino High School and a newly rescheduled game taking place on Friday, August 23, at Bishop Amat. Varsity is set to play at 5:30 pm. The Lady Minutemen will play their first home game on Monday, August 23, against the Crescenta Valley Lady Falcons.

 

Girls’ Tennis had their first practice and tryouts last Thursday at Pasadena High School and are always looking for interested athletes. Spread the word if you know of any students looking to join our girls’ tennis team! Their first season match takes place on August 27 at Pasadena High School. Matches begin at 3:30 pm.

 

Varsity Football is gearing up for their first game of the season as they are prepared to take on Lakeside High School at home on Thursday, August 22, at 7:00 pm for the program’s first game of the season. 

 

Cheer will be performing at halftime of the Varsity football game on Thursday night. Be sure you stick around for their first performance of the year on The Keith Family Field!

 

The Boys’ & Girls’ Cross Country program continues to build as they are set to run in the Asics Cool Breeze Invitational hosted at the Pomona Fairplex on Saturday, August 31. Event times have not yet been announced.
