Wellness Resources

The recent wildfires in Southern California have impacted many within the Maranatha High School community. More than 100 current students, faculty, staff, coaches, alumni, parents of alumni, and former employees have lost their homes or businesses or been displaced due to damage to their residences.

We continue to lift up our brothers and sisters in prayer and have been encouraged by the outpouring of support from those within our school community, as well as neighbors, friends, and even total strangers. School uniforms and supplies, gift cards, and financial gifts have been pouring in, and donations to the new Maranatha Emergency Relief Fund have already blessed numerous families with financial assistance. The following is a list of resources provided for those who are in need of assistance. If you are now or have ever been part of the Maranatha school community, and have been impacted by the wildfires, please let us know. You can email info@mhs-hs.org to provide information on how we may contact you.

If you or someone you know is experiencing mental health distress related to wildfires, you can call or text the Disaster Distress Helpline at 1-800-985-5990. This national hotline is available 24/7 to provide crisis counseling for emotional distress related to disasters.
