Maranatha Senior Zalan Volkan-Kacso Named National Merit Scholarship Finalist
Maranatha High School is proud to celebrate senior Zalan Volkan-Kacso, who has advanced to Finalist standing in the prestigious National Merit Scholarship Program.
This remarkable achievement places Zalan among an elite group of approximately 15,000 students nationwide who will be considered for one of 6,870 National Merit Scholarships.
Zalan’s distinction as a Finalist reflects his dedication to academic excellence, as over 1.3 million students take the PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (NMSQT®) each year. His outstanding performance places him among the top 1% of students in the country, a testament to his hard work, intellect, and commitment to learning.
The National Merit Scholarship Program, established in 1955, is one of the most prestigious academic competitions in the nation. Conducted by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC®), the program recognizes and rewards high-achieving students with scholarships to support their future educational goals.
