The Boston Experience: Gaining New Perspectives in Speech & Debate

Under the supportive guidance of Coach Kolade and Speech & Debate teacher Ms. Smith, our six dedicated students experienced firsthand the intense preparation and strategic approach of East Coast teams—many of which are based near the Ivy League schools and our nation’s capital.

 

This trip wasn’t just about competition; it was exposure to a world of diverse debate techniques and rigorous case preparation. Our team adapted to a new environment and even navigated the challenges of a time zone difference, all while absorbing fresh perspectives on how seasoned teams get ready for battle. Beyond the skills and strategies they encountered, the experience forged stronger bonds among teammates, igniting their passion for learning and growth in speech and debate.
