Maranatha Seniors Shine in the Tournament of Roses
Maranatha High School congratulates two of our own, seniors Parisa Bryant and Lisette Parker, who were recently named among the 28 finalists for the Pasadena Tournament of Roses 2025 Rose Court. This incredible achievement highlights the talent, poise, and dedication of these young women, and we couldn’t be prouder!
Students from 49 Pasadena-area schools participated in a rigorous interview process, which led to the selection of these outstanding finalists. According to the Tournament of Roses, they seek candidates who “bring diverse strengths and perspectives — whether they’re natural public speakers, youth leaders, academic stars, or involved in their community and school.”
In front of a cheering crowd of family, friends, and community members at the Pasadena Tournament House this morning, the seven members of the prestigious Rose Court were revealed. We are overjoyed to share that Maranatha’s own Lisette Parker was selected as a member of the 2025 Rose Court!
As representatives of the Tournament of Roses, the Pasadena community, and the greater Los Angeles area, the members of the Rose Court will each receive a $7,500 educational scholarship. These exceptional young women exemplify character, service, and leadership — values that we at Maranatha hold dear.
The Maranatha community celebrates Parisa and Lisette for their remarkable achievements. Let’s join together in cheering on Princess Lisette and the entire 2025 Rose Court as they ride down Colorado Boulevard in the 136th Rose Parade and take part in the College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the 111th Rose Bowl Game on January 1, 2025!
