Maranatha’s Golf Tournament Brings in $50,000

The 19th Annual Maranatha Golf Tournament took place on Thursday, November 2 at the beautiful Brookside Country Club, with 108 golfers coming out to play.

After the golf tournament, everyone in attendance got to enjoy a delicious dinner, feel the excitement of bidding on auction items, and witness Maranatha retire it’s very first baseball jersey, that belonged to Dylan Covey ‘10, who now plays for the Chicago White Sox.

The tournament raises significant funds for Maranatha’s athletic program, and this year, the tournament brought in $50,000. “This year’s golf tournament is a testament to the hard work of our community and support of our families. I am blessed to be a part of such an amazing group of people and their dedication to our student athletes,” says Matt Shupper, Head Varsity Baseball Coach.

We would like to send a special thank you to all of our Maranatha faculty, staff, families, friends, alumni, and current students who came out to the golf tournament and showed their support to our Maranatha community. We hope to see all of you next year at the 20th Annual Golf Tournament.
