Athletics News and Game Schedule: April 14-19

Boys’ Varsity Tennis has three matches this week as they host CAMS on Monday at home, and follow that up with a Tuesday away match at New Roads. They finish their week with a home game on Thursday vs. Geffen Academy. Home matches are played at 3:45 pm at John Muir. 

 

Varsity Baseball takes on Whittier Christian at home on Wednesday at 4:00 pm, and then finishes their series with a Thursday 3:30 pm away game away at Whittier Christian. 

 

Boys' Varsity Golf stands at 7-1 on the year after the team broke a school record last week with the lowest group schore in the school’s history! The Minutemen shot a 189 Round and defeated Gabrielino High School in the process. This week they are set to participate in the Walnut High School Golf Tournament on Monday at 8:00 am. They are also set to face off against La Salle on Tuesday and Whittier Christian on Thursday. 

 

Softball is set to play at Whittier Christian on Tuesday at 3:15 pm. 

 

Swim and Dive will finish their home meets with their Senior Night on Thursday, April 17, against Marshall Fundamental at 3:30 pm at the Maranatha pool!

 

Track and Field competed at Olympic League Meet #2, held at Heritage Christian, and came away with impressive results:

 

Boys’ Varsity Volleyball has one final regular season game on Tuesday at home vs. Southwestern Academy at 4:00 pm. The team may play an additional "play-in" game for a chance at a third place finish and trip into the CIF playoffs! More information TBD.
